The following rules shall be followed and enforced with strict prejudice to all members of Beach League.
Teams will have 4 active players on the court during play. Teams must have a minimum of two males and two females on the roster and at least one male or female on the court during play.
A team captain must be selected at your first game. The captain is responsible for starting the games on time as well as reporting scores.
During each time slot three games will be played. The first team to reach 21 points (while winning by at least two points) will be declared the winner. The results of the games will be recorded over the period of the season.
Each team will play each other team twice during the season. Teams will then be ranked and a single-elimination tournament will be played during playoffs. Games are played every Thursday night throughout the summer unless cancelled due to weather.
There are two timeslots and two courts that you may be scheduled to play on. The first timeslot is from 6:30pm to 7:30pm and the second timeslot is from 7:30pm to 8:30pm. You will be scheduled to play on either the North courts or the South courts.
After all the games are completed for the night (or there is a free court) you may participate in the After Dinner League which is a pickup game that is played until the lights go out.
If a member of your team cannot make it to a game, you may substitute them with another player. The player can be on another team in Beach League or not. The substitute player must be approved by the opposing team captain before the game begins.
Section B - Article A
Note: If a team has to fill more than one spot with a substitute, the game will be considered a forfeit. The team will still be allowed to play the match, but they can only win at most one game (for the purposes of the season standings).
We do our best to follow these rules during play. We try to make it fun and fair for everyone playing.
Each player will pay an entrance fee of $30 to play in Beach League. This fee will be used to purchase new equipment, sand and help pay for the end of season party/potluck. The fee must be paid before the first game of the season.
You can e-transfer your payment to Amelia or Matt or pay us cash in person.
